Getting Started
How do I create an Avatar Match account?
Creating an account takes less than a minute. Follow these steps:
- Go to avatarmatch.app/register.
- Enter your email address and create a password (minimum 8 characters).
- Alternatively, click Sign in with Google to use your Google account for instant registration.
- After signing in, you will be taken to the Onboarding screen where you choose your account type: Individual or Company.
- You will then be redirected to the Avatar Creation Wizard to build your first AI avatar.
Tip: If you received an invitation via a magic link, simply click the link in the email — no separate registration is needed.
How do I sign in to my account?
Avatar Match supports several sign-in methods:
Option 1: Email and password
- Go to avatarmatch.app/login.
- Enter your email and password.
- Click Sign In.
Option 2: Google sign-in
- On the login page, click Sign in with Google.
- Select your Google account in the popup.
- You will be signed in automatically.
Option 3: Magic link (passwordless)
- If you receive a magic link email, click the link.
- You will be signed in automatically without entering a password.
Note: After signing in, you'll be redirected to the Avatar Wizard if you don't have an active avatar, or to your Profile Dashboard if you do.
What are magic links and how do they work?
Magic links are a passwordless authentication method. Instead of remembering a password, you receive a one-time sign-in link via email.
How it works:
- You receive an email containing a unique sign-in link.
- Click the link — it opens Avatar Match and signs you in automatically.
- The link is valid for one use only and expires after a set time.
Advantages:
- No passwords to remember or type.
- More secure than traditional passwords — links cannot be guessed or reused.
- Works on any device where you can access your email.
Important: Magic links are personal. Never share them with anyone. Each link is tied to your account and grants full access.
What is the difference between Individual and Company accounts?
Avatar Match offers two account types to fit different needs:
Individual account
- Designed for personal use: dating, friendships, networking, freelance team building.
- Up to 3 active projects and 50 AI simulations/month.
- Access to personal matching, events, and the test library.
- Ideal for freelancers, students, and individuals.
Company account
- Designed for organizations: hiring, team building, corporate events.
- Unlimited projects and unlimited simulations.
- Advanced features: detailed export reports, team management, priority support.
- Ideal for HR departments, startups, and agencies.
You select your account type during onboarding (right after registration). You can change it later from Profile → Settings.
What happens after I register?
After creating your account, you'll go through a quick onboarding process:
- Choose account type — Select Individual or Company depending on your goals.
- Avatar Creation Wizard — You'll be redirected to the wizard where you create your first AI avatar step by step (basic info, personality tests, bio, and more).
- Start exploring — Once your avatar is created and activated, you can begin matching, join events, or explore the platform.
Tip: The wizard saves your progress automatically. You can leave and come back anytime — just go to avatarmatch.app/wizard to continue.
How do I reset my password?
If you forgot your password, you can reset it in a few steps:
- Go to avatarmatch.app/forgot-password.
- Enter the email address associated with your account.
- Click Send reset link.
- Check your email inbox (and spam folder) for the reset email.
- Click the link in the email to set a new password.
Note: If you signed up with Google, you may not have a password set. In that case, sign in with Google or request a magic link. You can also add a password from Profile → Security.
Your Account
How do I navigate my profile dashboard?
Your profile dashboard is the central hub for managing your account. To access it, click Profile in the main menu or go to avatarmatch.app/profile.
The dashboard includes:
- Dashboard — Overview of your avatars with status, filters, and quick actions (activate, edit, delete).
- Billing — Manage your subscription plan and payment methods.
- Security — Password management and linked accounts.
- Privacy — Avatar visibility settings and data controls.
- History — Avatar version history and changes over time.
- Verification — Account verification status and steps.
- Settings — Language, timezone, notifications, and default preferences.
- Referral — Your referral link, stats, and rewards.
- AI Profile — A synthesized view of your primary avatar's personality (requires an active avatar).
Navigate between sections using the sidebar menu on desktop or the tab bar on mobile.
How do I change my account settings?
To update your account settings:
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Here you can change:
- Display language — Switch between English and Russian.
- Timezone — Set your local timezone for accurate event times.
- Notifications — Enable or disable email and in-app notifications.
- Default preferences — Configure default avatar settings.
- Changes are saved automatically.
How do I change the interface language?
Avatar Match supports English and Russian. To change the language:
Method 1: From settings
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Find the Language option.
- Select your preferred language.
Method 2: From the header
- Look for the RU / EN language toggle in the top navigation bar.
- Click to switch between languages.
The interface will update immediately. The language preference is saved to your browser and persists across sessions.
How do I manage my notifications?
To configure your notification preferences:
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Scroll to the Notifications section.
- Toggle the types of notifications you want to receive:
- Match notifications — When someone matches with you.
- Event updates — Reminders and changes to events you've RSVP'd to.
- Project invitations — When you're invited to join a project.
- System updates — Platform news and feature announcements.
Tip: Even with notifications disabled, important security-related emails (password resets, suspicious activity) will always be sent.
What is account verification and how do I complete it?
Account verification increases your trust score and unlocks additional platform features. To start the verification process:
- Go to Profile → Verification.
- Review the available verification levels and their requirements.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to submit the required information.
- Wait for the verification to be processed (you'll receive a notification when complete).
Verified accounts get:
- A verified badge visible to other users.
- Higher trust scores in matching.
- Access to features that require identity verification.
How does the referral program work?
Earn rewards by inviting friends to Avatar Match:
- Go to Profile → Referral to find your unique referral link.
- Share your link via email, social media, or messaging apps.
- When someone registers using your link, they get a welcome bonus, and you earn referral rewards.
- Track your invitations, active referrals, and earned rewards in the Referral Dashboard.

Avatars & AI Profile
What is an AI avatar?
Your AI avatar is a digital representation of your personality, built from validated psychometric tests. It captures your character across 16+ dimensions including:
- Core personality traits — HEXACO model (honesty, emotionality, extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness).
- Values and beliefs — What matters to you in life and work.
- Communication style — How you prefer to interact with others.
- Interests and preferences — Hobbies, cultural tastes, lifestyle choices.
Your avatar is used to:
- Match you with compatible people based on deep personality analysis.
- Interact with other users' avatars so they can preview compatibility.
- Generate your AI Profile — a comprehensive personality summary.
Important: Your avatar reflects your honest test answers. The more authentic your responses, the better your matches will be.
How do I create my avatar?
Avatar creation happens through a guided step-by-step wizard:
- Go to avatarmatch.app/wizard or click Create Avatar from your Profile Dashboard.
- Complete each wizard step in order (see "What are the avatar wizard steps?" below for details).
- On the final Review step, check all your information and click Activate Avatar.
- Your avatar will be built and activated automatically.
Key points:
- The wizard saves progress automatically — you can leave and return anytime.
- To continue an incomplete wizard, go to avatarmatch.app/wizard.
- The full process takes 25–40 minutes, mostly for the personality tests.
- You must complete at least the required tests before activation.
What are the avatar wizard steps?
The avatar creation wizard consists of 9 steps:
- Basic Info — Your name, age, and primary information.
- Tests — Complete psychometric tests (HEXACO and others). This is the most important step for accurate matching.
- Media — Upload a profile photo and optional media files.
- Bio — Detailed personal information: education, career, hobbies, lifestyle, interests (books, films, music), languages, and more.
- Texts — Free-form text descriptions and personal essays that give depth to your profile.
- Interviewer — AI-powered interview that asks additional questions to enrich your avatar.
- Persona — Fine-tune how your avatar communicates: tone, style, verbosity preferences.
- Communication — Set your communication preferences: how you like to interact, response style, boundaries.
- Review — Review all entered information and activate your avatar.
Tip: Fill out as many fields as possible. The more data your avatar has, the more accurate your matches and AI profile will be.
How do I manage my avatars?
Manage all your avatars from the Profile Dashboard:
- Go to Profile → Dashboard.
- You'll see a table of all your avatars with their status (active, draft, inactive).
- For each avatar, you can:
- Activate — Make it your primary active avatar for matching.
- Edit — Return to the wizard to update information.
- Deactivate — Temporarily disable the avatar without deleting it.
- Delete — Permanently remove the avatar and all associated data.
Use the filter controls to sort avatars by status, creation date, or other criteria.
Warning: Deleting an avatar is permanent and cannot be undone. All test results, matches, and conversations linked to that avatar will be lost.
What are avatar versions?
Every time you update your avatar (retake tests, edit bio, change preferences), a new version is created. This gives you a history of how your avatar has evolved.
To view version history:
- Go to Profile → History.
- Browse your avatar versions sorted by date.
- Compare differences between versions.
Version history helps you:
- Track how your personality profile has changed over time.
- Understand which changes affected your compatibility scores.
- Revert changes if needed (by contacting support).
What is the AI Profile?
Your AI Profile is a comprehensive, AI-generated summary of your personality based on all data in your avatar. To view it:
- Go to Profile → AI Profile.
- Read your synthesized personality report covering traits, strengths, communication style, and more.
The AI Profile is available only when you have an active avatar with completed tests. It updates automatically when your avatar changes.
Note: Your AI Profile is visible to your matches (after identity reveal) and can be shown on your public avatar page if you enable public visibility.
How do I refresh or rebuild my avatar?
Refreshing your avatar recalculates your personality model using the latest data. To refresh:
- Go to Profile → Dashboard.
- Find your avatar and click the Refresh option.
- Alternatively, go to the wizard with
?mode=refreshto update specific sections. - Your avatar will be rebuilt with any new or updated information.
Note: Each avatar rebuild consumes tokens. Check your usage dashboard to monitor rebuild costs.
Psychometric Tests
What psychometric tests are available?
Avatar Match uses a battery of scientifically validated psychometric tests:
- HEXACO Personality Inventory — The core test measuring 6 major personality dimensions (Honesty-Humility, Emotionality, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Openness to Experience).
- Values Assessment — Measures your core life values and priorities.
- Communication Style — Identifies your preferred communication patterns.
- Interest Inventory — Captures your hobbies, cultural preferences, and lifestyle interests.

What is the HEXACO personality test?
HEXACO is a scientifically validated personality model that measures six core dimensions:
- H — Honesty-Humility: Sincerity, fairness, modesty, and greed avoidance.
- E — Emotionality: Fearfulness, anxiety, dependence, and sentimentality.
- X — Extraversion: Social self-esteem, boldness, sociability, and liveliness.
- A — Agreeableness: Forgiveness, gentleness, flexibility, and patience.
- C — Conscientiousness: Organization, diligence, perfectionism, and prudence.
- O — Openness to Experience: Aesthetic appreciation, inquisitiveness, creativity, and unconventionality.
The HEXACO model has been validated in 50+ countries across diverse cultures. It's considered more comprehensive than the traditional Big Five model because it includes the Honesty-Humility factor, which is critical for predicting relationship success.
How do I take a psychometric test?
You can take tests in two ways:
During avatar creation (recommended):
- In the Avatar Wizard, navigate to the Tests step.
- Select a test from the list of required and optional tests.
- Answer each question honestly on the provided scale (e.g. 1–5 or Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree).
- Submit the test — results are saved automatically to your avatar.
From the Tests Center:
- Go to avatarmatch.app/tests.
- Browse available tests and select one.
- Complete the test following on-screen instructions.
- Results will be linked to your avatar automatically.
Tip: Answer all questions honestly — there are no right or wrong answers. The accuracy of your matches depends entirely on the authenticity of your responses.
How long do the tests take?
Test durations vary:
- HEXACO Personality Test — 15–20 minutes (100 questions).
- Values Assessment — 5–10 minutes.
- Communication Style — 5–10 minutes.
- Interest Inventory — 5–10 minutes.
The full battery takes approximately 25–40 minutes total.
Tip: We recommend completing all tests in one session for the most consistent results. However, your progress is saved automatically — you can pause and return anytime via the wizard or the Tests Center.
Can I retake tests?
Yes, you can retake any test at any time:
- Go to avatarmatch.app/tests or open the Tests step in your avatar wizard.
- Select the test you want to retake.
- Complete all questions again.
- Your avatar will be updated automatically with the new results.
Recommendations:
- Wait at least 6 months between retakes — personality traits are relatively stable over shorter periods.
- Retake if you feel your original answers were not authentic or if significant life changes have occurred.
- After retaking, your compatibility scores with existing matches may change.
Important: Retaking a test overwrites previous results. The old version is preserved in your avatar version history.
How accurate are the psychometric tests?
Our tests meet rigorous scientific standards:
- Reliability — All instruments have Cronbach's alpha scores above 0.85, meaning they produce consistent results.
- Validity — Tests are based on peer-reviewed psychology research and validated across diverse populations.
- Cross-cultural validation — The HEXACO model specifically has been validated in 50+ countries and across multiple languages.
Factors that affect accuracy:
- Honesty — Answer authentically, not how you think you "should" answer.
- Focus — Take the test when you're focused and not rushed.
- Consistency — Complete all tests in one session if possible.
No personality test is 100% accurate, but our instruments provide a reliable foundation for meaningful compatibility analysis.
How do I understand my test results?
After completing tests, your results are used in several ways:
- Avatar Profile — Results feed directly into your AI avatar, shaping how it represents you.
- AI Profile — View a synthesized personality summary at Profile → AI Profile.
- Compatibility Scores — Results are compared against other users' avatars to calculate match percentages.
Each score dimension is measured on a scale. There are no "good" or "bad" scores — every personality configuration has its strengths. What matters is how your profile complements others.
Tip: Your AI Profile provides the most readable summary of what your test scores mean in practice.
Personal Matching
How does personality matching work?
Avatar Match uses AI-powered personality analysis to find compatible people. Here's how it works:
- Your AI avatar's personality data (from tests, bio, preferences) is analyzed across 16+ dimensions.
- Our algorithm compares your profile against other users, evaluating:
- Values alignment — Do you share core values and life goals?
- Communication compatibility — Do your interaction styles mesh well?
- Emotional compatibility — How well do your emotional patterns complement each other?
- Complementary traits — Where do your differences create positive balance?
- Each potential match receives a compatibility score (0–100%) with detailed reasoning.
- You review matches and decide whom to connect with.
Key insight: We don't just match by similarity. Research shows the best relationships involve a mix of shared values and complementary differences.
How do I start finding matches?
To begin matching, you need an active avatar with completed tests. Then:
- Go to avatarmatch.app/matching from the main menu.
- The Matching tab shows the search interface with filters.
- Set your preferences (location, age range, compatibility threshold, etc.).
- Browse through recommended matches.
- Click on a match to see their compatibility analysis and personality summary.
- Express interest to initiate a connection.
The Matched tab shows people you've already connected with.
How are compatibility scores calculated?
Compatibility scores are calculated using a multi-factor AI analysis:
- 70% and above — Strong compatibility. You likely share important values and complement each other well.
- 50–69% — Moderate compatibility. Some areas align well, others differ.
- Below 50% — Lower compatibility. Significant personality differences exist.
What the score includes:
- Personality trait alignment — Based on HEXACO and other test results.
- Values overlap — Shared life priorities and beliefs.
- Communication fit — Compatible interaction styles.
- Interest overlap — Shared hobbies and cultural preferences.
Important: Always read the compatibility reasoning, not just the number. A 65% match with excellent value alignment may be better than a 75% match with conflicting communication styles.
How does anonymous matching work?
Anonymous matching protects your identity until both parties are comfortable:
- When you receive a match, you see their personality summary and compatibility analysis — but not their real name, photo, or personal details.
- You can chat through avatars to get to know each other based on personality alone.
- Only when both people click "Reveal Identity" do full profiles become visible.
Why anonymous matching?
- Removes appearance bias — focus on personality first.
- Encourages authentic communication without social pressure.
- You stay in full control of when and what you share.
How does the identity reveal process work?
Revealing your identity is a mutual, two-way process:
- During a conversation with a match, look for the "Reveal Identity" button.
- Click it when you're ready to share your full profile.
- Your match will be notified that you've chosen to reveal.
- Only when the other person also clicks "Reveal Identity" will full profiles be exchanged.
After both reveal:
- You can see each other's full profiles including name and photos.
- You can exchange contact information.
- The platform provides safety tips for first meetings.
Important: Identity reveal is irreversible. Once both parties reveal, you cannot return to anonymous mode for that match.
How do I chat with a match?
To start a conversation with a match:
- Go to avatarmatch.app/matching.
- Switch to the Matched tab to see your connections.
- Click on a match to open their profile.
- Click Chat or navigate to the conversation directly.
Chat features:
- Text messaging with your match.
- Avatar-mediated conversations (while anonymous).
- Identity reveal option when ready.
Chat conversations are accessible at /matching/chat/{matchId}.
How do I manage my matches?
Manage all your matches from the Matched tab:
- Go to avatarmatch.app/matching.
- Switch to the Matched tab.
- Here you can:
- View compatibility details for each match.
- Open conversations with active matches.
- Accept or decline pending match requests.
Match requests can also be managed from the dedicated accept page when you receive notifications about new matches.
How do I block or report a user?
If you feel uncomfortable or encounter inappropriate behavior, you can block or report another user at any time.
To block a user:
- Open the user's profile or your conversation with them.
- Click the menu icon (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Select Block User.
- Confirm your decision.
What happens when you block someone:
- They can no longer contact you or view your profile.
- Existing conversations are hidden from both sides.
- They will not appear in your matching results.
- They are not notified that they have been blocked.
To report a user:
- Open the user's profile or conversation.
- Click the menu icon (⋮) → Report User.
- Select the reason for the report (harassment, fake profile, inappropriate content, spam, other).
- Add an optional description with details.
- Submit the report.
Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours. Serious violations may result in account suspension or termination per our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
Tip: You can manage your block list from Profile → Privacy. Unblocking a user restores their ability to see your profile, but does not restore previous conversations.
Events & Meetings
How do I browse events?
Discover events where you can meet compatible people in person:
- Go to avatarmatch.app/matching/events from the main menu.
- Browse the event list with filters for:
- Event type (meetup, workshop, social, etc.).
- Date and time.
- Location.
- Compatibility score with attendees.
- Click any event to see full details, including who else is attending and their compatibility with you.
How do I use the Event Map?
The Event Map provides a visual way to discover events near you:
- Go to avatarmatch.app/matching/event-map.
- The map shows event markers in your area.
- Zoom and pan to explore different locations.
- Click any marker to see event details.
- Filter events by type, date, or compatibility score.
Tip: Enable location services in your browser for the map to center on your current location automatically.
How do I create an event?
You can organize your own events to meet compatible people:
- Go to avatarmatch.app/matching/events/create.
- Fill in event details:
- Title — A descriptive name for your event.
- Description — What the event is about.
- Date and time — When it takes place.
- Location — Where to meet.
- Type — Category of the event.
- Capacity — Maximum number of attendees.
- Click Create Event to publish.
Your event will appear in the event list and on the Event Map for other users to discover.
How do I RSVP to an event?
To sign up for an event:
- Find an event in the events list or on the Event Map.
- Click on the event to open the detail page.
- Review the event information, attendees, and compatibility scores.
- Click RSVP to confirm your attendance.
After RSVPing:
- The event will appear in your events list.
- You'll receive reminders as the event date approaches.
- Other attendees can see you on the guest list.
How do I chat with event participants?
You can message event organizers or other attendees:
- Open the event detail page.
- Find the participant you want to message.
- Click Chat to start a conversation.
Note: Event chat follows the same anonymity rules as regular matching. If neither party has revealed their identity, the conversation is avatar-mediated.
Connections & Integrations
What are connections and integrations?
Connections let you link third-party services to enrich your Avatar Match experience. Connected services can provide additional data for your avatar and enable cross-platform features.
To manage connections:
- Go to avatarmatch.app/connections from the main menu.
- Browse available integrations.
- Click Connect on any service to start the setup process.
Currently supported integrations include Facebook, LinkedIn, and Telegram.
How do I connect my Facebook account?
Connecting Facebook can enrich your profile with social data:
- Go to Connections.
- Find Facebook and click Connect.
- You'll be redirected to Facebook to authorize the connection.
- Review the permissions requested and click Allow.
- Once connected, you'll be redirected back to Avatar Match.
Alternative: Manual upload
If you prefer not to connect directly, you can upload Facebook data manually:
- Download your data from Facebook (Settings → Your Information → Download Your Information).
- In Avatar Match, go to Connections → Facebook → Manual Upload.
- Upload the downloaded file.
Privacy: We only use the specific data categories you authorize. You can disconnect Facebook at any time from the Connections page.
How do I connect my LinkedIn account?
LinkedIn integration adds professional context to your avatar:
- Go to Connections.
- Find LinkedIn and click Connect.
- You'll be redirected to LinkedIn to authorize the connection.
- Review permissions and click Allow.
- Your professional data will be imported to enhance your avatar's profile.
Note: LinkedIn data is used to enrich the career-related aspects of your avatar. Your LinkedIn credentials are never stored — we only receive authorized profile data through OAuth.
How do I connect Telegram?
Telegram integration enables notifications and communication via Telegram:
- Go to Connections.
- Find Telegram and click Connect.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to link your Telegram account.
- Once connected, you can receive match notifications and event reminders directly in Telegram.
Billing & Subscriptions
What plans are available?
Avatar Match offers four subscription tiers:
- Free — Basic features, 3 projects, limited simulations. Great for getting started.
- Starter ($29/month) — 50 simulations/month, personal matching, full test library, priority support.
- Professional ($99/month) — 200 simulations/month, advanced analytics, detailed export reports.
- Enterprise (custom pricing) — Unlimited everything, dedicated support, custom integrations, SLA.

What are tokens and how do they work?
Tokens are units of AI computation that power all AI-driven features on the platform.
What uses tokens:
- Matching searches — Finding compatible people.
- AI simulations — Conversations with candidate avatars.
- Avatar rebuilds — Recalculating your personality model.
- Event searches — AI-powered event recommendations.
- Conversations — AI-mediated chat features.
How to get tokens:
- Included in subscription — Each paid plan includes a monthly token allowance.
- Token packages — Purchase additional tokens as needed from the Billing page.
Token costs are transparent — each operation shows how many tokens it will consume before you confirm.
How do I track my token usage?
Monitor your token consumption in real time:
- Go to Profile → Usage.
- View your usage dashboard with:
- Token balance — Current remaining tokens.
- Breakdown by category — See how tokens were spent (chats, searches, events, avatar rebuilds).
- Daily activity graph — Visual usage over time.
- Operation ledger — Detailed log of every token-consuming action with timestamps.
Tip: Set up usage alerts to receive notifications when your token balance drops below a threshold. This prevents unexpected interruptions.
How do I subscribe to a paid plan?
To upgrade your subscription:
- Go to Profile → Billing.
- Review available plans and their features.
- Click Subscribe or Upgrade on your chosen plan.
- You'll be redirected to Stripe (our secure payment processor) to enter payment details.
- Complete the payment — your subscription activates immediately.
Payment methods accepted:
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
- Additional methods may be available depending on your region.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Avatar Match never stores your card details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- Go to Profile → Billing.
- Click Manage Subscription to open the Stripe customer portal.
- Select Cancel Subscription.
- Confirm the cancellation.
What happens after cancellation:
- Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.
- After that, your account switches to the Free plan.
- You keep any unused token balance.
- Your avatar and data are preserved — nothing is deleted.
Note: No partial-month refunds are issued for cancellations. If you need a refund, see our refund policy below.
What is your refund policy?
Our refund policy is straightforward:
- Subscription refunds — Available within 14 days of purchase if you haven't used the included tokens.
- Token packages — Non-refundable once tokens have been used.
- Unused token packages — Refundable within 14 days of purchase.
To request a refund:
- Send an email to support@avatarmatch.app.
- Include your account email and reason for the refund.
- Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days.

Privacy & Data Protection
How is my data stored and protected?
We implement enterprise-grade data protection:
- Encryption at rest — All data encrypted with AES-256.

How do I export my data?
You can export all your personal data at any time:

- Look for the Export Data or GDPR Request section.
- Click Request Data Export.
- Your data will be compiled and you'll receive a download link via email.
The export includes: profile information, test results, avatar data, match history, conversation logs, and usage records — all in a machine-readable format (JSON).
How do I delete my data?
You have full control over your data deletion:
- Go to Profile → Privacy.
- Choose what to delete:
- Delete avatar only — Removes your avatar and associated matches, keeps your account.
- Delete test results — Removes psychometric data while keeping your account.
- Delete entire account — Removes everything permanently.
- Confirm your choice.
What to know:
- Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
- Processing takes up to 30 days.
- Some data may be retained for legal compliance (billing records, legal obligations).
- You'll receive email confirmation once deletion is complete.

Do you use my data to train AI models?
No, never. This is a firm commitment:
- Your personal data is never used to train AI models.
- Your test results are never used for AI training.
- Your conversations are never used for AI training.
We use third-party AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) with Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) that explicitly prohibit using customer data for model training.
Your data is used only to provide the service: creating your avatar, calculating matches, and powering conversations. Nothing more.
Who has access to my data?
We minimize data sharing to essential service providers:
- Google Cloud (Firebase) — Infrastructure hosting and database.
- OpenAI / Anthropic — AI processing (with DPAs prohibiting training).
- Stripe — Payment processing (they only access billing data).
- Email providers — For transactional emails only.
We never:
- Sell your data to third parties.
- Share personal data for advertising purposes.
- Allow third parties to access your psychometric results.

What authentication methods are available?
Avatar Match supports multiple secure authentication methods:
- Email + Password — Traditional sign-in with your email and a password.
- Google Sign-In — One-click authentication using your Google account.
- Magic Links — Passwordless sign-in via a one-time email link.
All methods use Firebase Authentication — Google's enterprise-grade auth service trusted by millions of apps.
Session management uses HTTP-only secure cookies that cannot be accessed by JavaScript, providing protection against XSS attacks.
How do I manage my password?
To change your password:
- Go to Profile → Security.
- Click Change Password.
- Enter your current password and your new password.
- Click Save.
To add a password (if you signed up with Google):
- Go to Profile → Security.
- Click Add Password.
- Create a password for your account.
Password requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters.
- We recommend using a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Avoid reusing passwords from other services.
How do I manage linked sign-in accounts?
You can link multiple sign-in methods to your account:
- Go to Profile → Security.
- View your currently linked authentication providers (Email, Google).
- Link additional providers or unlink existing ones.
Important: Always keep at least one sign-in method active. If you unlink all providers, you won't be able to sign in.
