Data Deletion — AvatarMatch

Under Article 17 of GDPR ("right to erasure" / "right to be forgotten"), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. The full procedure is described below.
1. How to Submit a Deletion Request
You can request data deletion through any of the following methods:
- Through account settings (recommended):
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and confirm your decision. This is the fastest method. - By email:
Send a request to privacy@avatarmatch.app with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your account. - Via support:
Contact support@avatarmatch.app with the same request.
2. What Happens After You Submit
We may request identity confirmation to prevent unauthorized deletion.
You will receive an email confirming receipt of your request.
Your account is deactivated and becomes invisible to other users.
Most personal data is deleted from the date of request confirmation.
Data is removed from backup copies in accordance with backup rotation cycles.
Upon completion, you will receive an email confirmation of data deletion.
3. What Data Will Be Deleted
- Profile data (name, photos, biography, interests)
- Psychometric data and test results
- Message history and simulation history
- Matching results and compatibility scores
- Technical data and activity logs (within established retention periods)
- Authentication and authorization data

5. Canceling a Deletion Request
You may cancel a deletion request within 7 days of submission. Email privacy@avatarmatch.app with the subject "Cancel Deletion Request". After 7 days, cancellation is not possible.
