Acceptable Use Policy — AvatarMatch

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines the rules for using the Avatar Match platform and applies to all users in addition to the Terms of Service. This policy is based on EU law requirements including the Digital Services Act (DSA, EU Regulation 2022/2065) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA).
2. Permitted Use
The platform is intended for:
- Personal use by individuals to find compatible partners, friends, and professional contacts
- Corporate use for recruitment and team building (with a corporate account)
- Personal compatibility research and psychometric exploration
3. Prohibited Activities
3.1. Illegal Content and Activities
- Posting, transmitting, or storing illegal content (Art. 3 DSA)
- Intellectual property infringement
- Fraud, financial manipulation, money laundering
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — immediate ban and authority notification
- Terrorist content or extremist propaganda
3.2. Privacy Violations
- Collecting other users' personal data without consent
- Disclosing other users' private information to third parties (doxxing)
- Screenshots or recordings of simulations without the other party's consent
- Creating accounts impersonating other individuals
3.3. Platform Abuse
- Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools
- Reverse engineering or circumventing security measures
- Creating multiple accounts to evade bans
- Manipulating psychometric tests to obtain dishonest matches
- Selling or transferring accounts to third parties
3.4. Harmful Content
- Spam, mass messaging, unwanted commercial communications
- Harassment, threats, or stalking of other users
- Discriminatory content based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation
- Spreading misinformation or deliberately false information
- Sexual content without explicit consent from all parties
3.5. Technical Violations
- DDoS attacks, flooding, server overloading
- Injecting malicious code, viruses, or phishing links
- Unauthorized access to other users' accounts
- Exploiting vulnerabilities without responsible disclosure notification
4. Moderation and Consequences
Upon AUP violation, the Company may:
- Warning — for first minor violations
- Temporary suspension — from 24 hours to 30 days
- Permanent ban — for severe or repeated violations
- Content removal without prior notice
- Authority notification — for illegal content
Per DSA (Art. 17), users receive a reasoned notice about the decision and information on appeal procedures.
5. Appeals
You may appeal a suspension or content removal decision:
- Via appeal form: appeals@avatarmatch.app
- Appeal processing time: 14 business days
- Out-of-court resolution: through EU DSA bodies
6. Responsible Vulnerability Disclosure
If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly:
- Email: security@avatarmatch.app
- Do not publicly disclose the vulnerability before it is fixed
- We will review your report within 5 business days
